UCO Adjusts Weekend Baseball Schedule

Bronchos Hosting Colorado Christian For Four-Game Series

EDMOND – Central Oklahoma and Colorado Christian adjusted their upcoming weekend baseball schedule due to forecasted weather.

The two will play a doubleheader Friday beginning at noon, a single game Saturday, and one final game Sunday. The original schedule had the doubleheader on Saturday but expected weather has changed the plans.

Central Oklahoma is 3-2 on the season after one week of play. The Bronchos beat Oklahoma Baptist on Tuesday before going 2-2 in the eighth annual Edmond First Pitch Classic. UCO beat Southeastern and East Central and lost to East Central and Missouri - St. Louis.

Central Oklahoma and Colorado Christian have only played one series before this year and it was last February in Edmond. The Bronchos won all three games and weather forced the cancellation of the Sunday contest.

UCO will make its first road trip of the season next week, traveling to Shawnee, Oklahoma for a non-conference game with Oklahoma Baptist. The Bronchos host Drury and Southeastern before opening MIAA play at the end of the month.
