WACO, Texas – Central Oklahoma is ranked No. 5 in the country, according to the American Football Coaches' Association Preseason Top 25 announced Monday.
UCO opens the 2025 season Aug. 30 at UT Permian Basin, which is receiving votes in the preseason poll. The Bronchos will open the gates to Chad Richison Stadium in Edmond Sept. 6 against Pittsburg State, which is ranked No. 9 in the preseason poll.
Central Missouri (22nd) is also in the Top 25. UCO hosts UCM Oct. 4 in Edmond. Fort Hays State and Northwest Missouri are both receiving votes in the poll. The Bronchos visit Northwest Sept. 27 and travel to Hays Oct. 11.
Central Oklahoma went 11-2 last season and won the MIAA championship with an 8-1 record in league play. UCO reached as high as No. 8 in the AFCA poll last season.
