UCO Football Signs 46 For 2026

Bronchos Welcome 38 High School Student-Athletes, Add Eight Transfers

EDMOND – Central Oklahoma head football coach Adam Dorrel announced the signing of 38 high school football players on National Signing Day Wednesday.

"I think it's a really good class that addressed our needs," Dorrel said. "There are more guys on defense and our defensive line group is really good. But on both sides of the ball, our coaches did a great job of recruiting and getting this group signed.

"Most of our kids too came out of our camps," Dorrel continued. "That continues to be a big thing for us. We recruit Oklahoma kids and the kids coming to our camp and doing well there are the ones we're signing."

Including the eight mid-year transfers, Central Oklahoma added 46 newcomers for the 2026 roster. The Bronchos have 17 players on the offensive side of the ball, 25 on the defensive side, and four specialists. UCO added a pair of quarterbacks, three running backs, four wide receivers, a pair of tight ends, and six offensive linemen. The Bronchos added 10 defensive linemen, two linebackers, seven safeties, and six corner backs. Among the specialists are two punters, a kicker, and a long snapper.

UCO has long made an impact in the state of Oklahoma and the 2026 class includes 35 newcomers from in state. The Bronchos also welcome seven players from Texas, three from Arkansas, and one from Louisiana.

Central Oklahoma returned for offseason conditioning in January and opens official spring practices in March. The Bronchos went 6-5 last season and finished third in the MIAA going 6-3 in league play.
