Softball Coaches Named Regional Staff of the Year

Cody White Is In 12th Season Leading the UCO Program

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Central Oklahoma's softball coaching staff was named 2025 Central Region Staff of the Year by the National Softball Coaches Association, it was announced Friday.

Head coach Cody White and associate head coach Jon Hunter are in their 12th year together guiding the Bronchos, with fifth-year pitching coach Jordan Dixon and graduate assistant Jacee Minter rounding out the staff.

That foursome has led UCO to a 52-9 record and into the second round of the Division II Softball Championship Finals. The Bronchos captured the MIAA regular season and tournament titles before claiming the Central Region crown in making it to the Championship Finals.

"We have a tremendous staff and work really well together," said White, who has a 498-168 career record at UCO. "Jon, Jordan and Jacee all work extremely hard. Their main focus is always on our players and this program."

The staff was also named MIAA Coaching Staff of the Year earlier this month.

Regional (respective region only) and National Coaching Staffs of the Year are voted on by NFCA member head coaches. The NFCA Division II National Coaching Staff of the Year award will be announced June 5.
