Bronchos Headed Back To NCAA Tournament

Central Oklahoma Earns No. 4 Seed In Central Region I Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS – Central Oklahoma is returning to the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship and the Bronchos will be the No. 4 seed in the Central Regional, it was announced Sunday night.

The Bronchos will face No. 5 seed Arkansas Tech in Warrensburg, Missouri. Top-seed Central Missouri is hosting one of two Central sub-regionals. UCM will play No. 8 seed Harding.

The other sub-regional will be hosted by No. 2 seed Minnesota State. The Mavericks of Mankato, Minnesota will face No. 7 Arkansas Monticello. No. 3 Pittsburg State and No. 6 Henderson State will also play in Mankato.

Winners of both regional tournaments will meet at the higher remaining seed Super Regionals in a best-of-three series  May 23-24. The NCAA Division II Baseball National Championship is in Cary, North Carolina at the USA Baseball Complex, where eight super regional winners meet to decide the national champion.

UCO takes a 36-15 record into the national tournament. The Bronchos went 33-15 in the regular season and earned the No. 4 seed in the MIAA Baseball Championship. There, Central went 3-0 to win the league's postseason tournament title for the first time.

Central Oklahoma hosted Arkansas Tech in a non-conference game March 11 and won 14-12. UCO played four of the seven other teams that qualified for the Central Regional and went 4-4 in those games. The Bronchos were 1-0 against Arkansas Tech and Henderson State, 2-1 against Pittsburg State, and 0-3 against Central Missouri.

This season marks the 11th time Central Oklahoma has made the NCAA tournament and the fifth time under 10th-year head coach John Martin. He has led the Bronchos to the national tournament in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2024, and now 2025.
