EDMOND – Central Oklahoma and Arkansas Fort Smith are moving their weekend MIAA series to Edmond due to expected rainfall totals in Fort Smith.
The teams will play Game 1 Friday at 6 p.m. and possibly Game 2 Saturday at a time to be determined with weather potentially pushing the second meeting to Sunday. Game 3 is now scheduled for Sunday at noon but will be played immediately following Game 2 if that cannot be completed Saturday.
UCO improved to 25-8 on the season with a 17-4 win over Rogers State on Tuesday. The Bronchos are 15-6 in the MIAA and currently in third place in the league standings. Arkansas Fort Smith, the league's newest member, is 10-21 on the season and 5-16 in the MIAA. The Lions beat Northeastern State 10-2 on Tuesday afternoon.
While UCO will play as the visiting team in the series in Edmond this weekend, the Bronchos just concluded an eight-game homestand on Tuesday. This weekend will be 11 in a row at Wendell Simmons Field for the Bronchos.
UCO is scheduled to travel to No. 1-ranked Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Mo. next weekend.
