Caden Robertson Named MIAA Player of the Week

UCO Slugger Earns Weekly MIAA Award For Second Time This Season

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Central Oklahoma senior outfielder Caden Robertson was named MIAA Player of the Week for the second time this season as he led the Bronchos with another strong performance at the plate.
 
UCO played to a perfect 4-0 record last week as the Bronchos stretched their winning streak to eight games. Central beat Northeastern State on Wednesday before sweeping Newman in a three-game series on the weekend.
 
Robertson went 9-for-17 at the plate with three home runs, one double, and one triple. He had a staggering 16 RBIs in four games and also scored nine runs.
 
Wednesday, Robertson went 4-for-5 with two home runs, five RBIs and four runs scored to start the week in a win over Northeastern State. On the weekend against Newman, Robertson went 2-for-4 with a home run and six RBIs in Friday's Game 1 victory. He went 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs in a seven-inning run-rule on Saturday in Game 2. While Robertson went 0-for-4 with one RBI on Sunday, his 20-game hit streak ended.
 
During his 20-game hit streak, Robertson had multiple hits in 13 of those games, including the last nine before Sunday.
 
Robertson is hitting .411 this season, with a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .479 on-base percentage. He has 51 hits, 59 RBIs, and 43 runs scored. Of his 51 hits, 35 are for extra bases, with 18 home runs, 15 doubles, and two triples.
