UCO Is 13th After Two Rounds In Texas

DENTON, Texas – Central Oklahoma lowered its score by one shot in the second trip around Wildhorse Golf Club at Robson Ranch Monday, where the Bronchos sit in 13th place heading into Tuesday's final round.

UCO, which posted a 311 on Sunday in Round One, followed with a 310 on Monday.

Jirasuda Khunarak remains UCO's low individual, with the senior in 47th place individually at 8-over-par. Khunarak shot a 6-over 78 on Monday, including a 36 on the back nine where she parred each and every hole. Khunarak is at 152 (74-78) through two rounds.

Scarlet Sturch also remains the second Broncho on the leaderboard in 52nd place individually. Sturch also shot a 6-over-par 78 on Monday and is 9-over for the tournament. The sophomore finished her second round with two birdies and nine par putts. Sturch is at 153 (75-78) through two rounds.

Estela Castillo was Central's low scorer of the day Monday. The sophomore shot a 2-over-par 74, including a 1-under 35 on the back nine. Castillo sank three birdie putts and 10 par putts on Monday too. She is at 155 (81-74) through two rounds.

MaKaylee Cowan lowered her score by one shot on Monday. The UCO sophomore posted an 8-over-par 80 in the second round and sank 11 par putts on the day. Cowan is 66th individually at 161 (81-80).

Layne Ailshie is also in the lineup for the Bronchos. The freshman from Fort Gibson fared better in her second collegiate round of golf Monday. She posted a 10-over-par 82 and is at 167 (85-82) for the tournament.

The final round begins Tuesday morning. The DBU Classic makes up the first of four fall tournaments the Bronchos are competing in.
