Bronchos Are 10th In Missouri

UCO Tied After 36 Holes At Rivercut In Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Central Oklahoma is tied for 10th in the Arkansas Tech Spring Preview after two trips around Rivercut Golf Course.

Central Oklahoma posted a 36-hole 625 (312-313). Henderson State leads the 18-team field after shooting a 591. Central Missouri is second at 602, Southwestern Oklahoma State is third at 604, and Arkansas Tech is fourth at 606. Missouri Southern (613) rounds out the top five.

Jirasuda Khunarak led Central Oklahoma on day one. The senior from Thailand posted back-to-back 5-over-par 77s in her first two rounds. Khunarak is tied for 24th individually.

Mika Ramos is tied for 30th after a day-one 155. The senior from Tulsa was the only Broncho to lower her score in the second round in posting a 7-over 79 and a 4-over 76.

Scarlet Sturch shot a 157 Monday. The freshman from Durant shot a 78-79 in her first two rounds.

Emma Shelley posted a 160, shooting 79-81. Her two rounds Monday were the 99th and 100th of her career at UCO, making her the sixth player in school history to play 100 rounds for the Bronchos.

Estela Castillo also is in the lineup for the Bronchos. She shot a 36-hole 165 (78-87) Monday.

Final round play is scheduled for Tuesday morning with one more trip around Rivercut's 5,885-yard Par 72 course. UCO begins at 9:10 a.m. with Castillo teeing off first. Shelley follows at 9:17 a.m., Sturch at 9:24 a.m., and Ramos at 9:31 a.m. Khunarak will be last of the first tee at 9:38 a.m.

Tuesday is also the final round of the regular season for the Bronchos, who move on to the MIAA Women's Golf Championships later this month.
