UCO Stays No. 12 In Softball Poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 5) – Central Oklahoma remained No. 12 in the weekly National Softball Coaches Association Division II poll that was released Tuesday.

The Bronchos earned 230 points in voting of 16 head coaches from around the country – two from each of the eight regions. It marks the 45th consecutive week that UCO has been ranked in the top 25.

Defending national champion North Georgia stayed No. 1 with 15 first-place votes. West Texas A&M picked up with other first-place vote and is second, followed by Rogers State, Tampa and Grand Valley State.

The Bronchos, 12-6 and riding a five-game winning streak, open defense of their Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association title this weekend with a pair of doubleheaders. UCO takes on Washburn at 1 p.m. Friday and Emporia State at 1 p.m. Saturday.
