EDMOND – Central Oklahoma and Arkansas Monticello have agreed to shift their upcoming four-game baseball series to Edmond this weekend due to impending weather in Monticello.
The series will now be played Friday, Feb. 9 and Saturday, Feb. 10 at Wendell Simmons Field in Edmond. The teams will play doubleheaders both days, with Friday's scheduled for 1 p.m. and Saturday's twin bill scheduled for noon. Arkansas Monticello will also play as the home team for both of Friday's games with the Bronchos taking home team position for Saturday.
Central Oklahoma is 4-0 after one week of play in the 2024 season. The Bronchos beat East Central, New Mexico Highlands, Oklahoma Baptist, and Highlands a second time, in the four-day Edmond First Pitch Classic this past weekend.
Arkansas Monticello is 1-1 after opening weekend. The Boll Weevils beat Colorado School of Mines to open the year before its matchup with Rogers State was canceled. UAM then dropped a matchup with Missouri Southern to wrap up the Dugan Invitational in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
All four games this weekend can be seen live on The MIAA Network.
