Central Oklahoma Makes Return For Spring Season Monday In Houston

Bronchos Playing 54 Holes At Cypresswood Golf Club In Spring, Texas

SPRING, Texas – Central Oklahoma makes its return to the course for the spring semester this week with the Southern Invite at Cypresswood Golf Club.

UCO is hosting the event, featuring 15 teams from the MIAA, the Lone Star Conference, the Great American Conference, and the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The teams will make two trips around Cypresswood's 6,035-yard Par 72 on Monday, and then play a final round Tuesday.

"We're excited to be back," UCO head women's golf coach Michael Bond said. "We've done a lot of practice and we're ready to be back on the course. This is a really good field and a really good course, so we'll be tested this week."

Central Oklahoma's five-person lineup consists of freshmen Estela Castillo and MaKaylee Cowan, and seniors Emma Shelley, Mika Ramos, and Jirasuda Khunarak. Junior Drew Faires is also in Houston with the Bronchos and will compete as an individual this week.
