UCO No. 2 Seed At Volleyball Championship

Bronchos Will Meet San Francisco State In National Quarterfinals

INDIANPOLIS – Central Oklahoma will be the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Division II Volleyball Championship heading into the quarterfinals this week in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
 
The Bronchos will play San Francisco State, winner of the West Regional, Thursday, Dec. 12 at 1:30 p.m. The SFSU Gators are 24-6 and are the No. 7 seed for the national quarterfinals.
 
The national semifinals are scheduled for Friday, Dec. 13 and the national championship match Saturday, Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. All games at this week's championship will be broadcast on ESPN-Plus.

Ferris State is the No. 1 seed and will play No. 8 Bentley while No. 4 Lynn meets No. 5 Wingate. The two winners would play in the other semifinal. UCO or SFSU would meet the winner of No. 3 Angelo State and No. 6 Gannon.
 
Central Oklahoma is 1-0 against teams in the national quarterfinals this season. The Bronchos won 3-2 at Angelo in September. UCO and San Francisco State have never met on the volleyball floor and the Bronchos have yet to face any other team in the quarterfinals other than Angelo State. The Bronchos are 16-16 with the Rambelles of San Angelo, Texas and 0-0 against the other six teams heading to Sioux Falls. 
 
UCO is 33-2 this season and won the Central Region title with three straight five-set wins in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
