KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The MIAA Women's Soccer Championship field was announced Wednesday night following the completion of the regular season and Central Oklahoma was slotted fourth in the eight-team postseason tournament.
UCO finished the 2024 regular season 10-5-3 with a 7-2-3 record in the MIAA. The Bronchos earned the right to host a quarterfinal match in the tournament and will welcome Northeastern State to Edmond on Sunday, Nov. 10.
The Bronchos beat NSU 2-0 just two weeks ago. That game was also in Edmond. Central has a 26-8-5 all-time record against the Riverhawks from Tahlequah.
Central Oklahoma is hosting the MIAA Championship quarterfinal match at Chad Richison Stadium due to excessive rainfall leaving Tom Thompson Field to soggy for the playoffs. UCO has a 24-3 record in games played at the football stadium.
The winner of Central Oklahoma vs. Northeastern State will head to Wichita, Kansas for the MIAA Soccer Championship semifinals Thursday, Nov. 14. The final is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 16 in Wichita at Scheels Stryker Soccer Complex.
The 2024 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship begins the following weekend – Nov. 22 & 24 – with the first two rounds of the 56-team national tournament. UCO was ranked fifth in the Central Region rankings, also announced Wednesday. Eight teams make the regional.
UCO has made 15 appearances in the national tournament in 26 seasons since starting the program in 1998.
