Central Oklahoma Hosting Playoff Game For First Time Since 1998

EDMOND – Central Oklahoma is heading to the NCAA Division II Football Championships for the first time since 2003 and is set to host a game for the first time since 1998.

With the official announcement coming Sunday evening with the NCAA Selection Show, UCO announced its ticket plan for the playoffs. Assuming the NCAA follows through with selecting UCO to host, the first round game would be scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23, at 1 p.m., at Chad Richison Stadium.

Season ticket holders will have early access beginning Sunday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. to confirm their seats for the playoffs in sections 103-105, 204, and the club level. Season ticket holders will have until Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 5 p.m. to renew their seats for the postseason.

UCO will also offer general admission tickets beginning Sunday at 6 p.m. All other sections of the stadium are GA tickets and can be purchased at that time.

On Wednesday, Nov. 20, all sections at Chad Richison Stadium will go on sale to the public with the exception of the club level, which is expected to sell out.

Central Oklahoma posted a 10-1 record and won the MIAA championship for the first time since joining the league in 2012. The Bronchos posted 10 wins for just the fifth time in school history.

The NCAA Selection Show is scheduled for 5 p.m. (CST) and will air live on ncaa.com, revealing four, seven-team Super Regionals. UCO will participate in Super Region III, with teams selected among the MIAA, Great Lakes Intercollegiate and Great Lakes Valley conferences, and the Great American Conference.
