Bronchos Open Season Sixth At OSU

STILLWATER, Okla. – Central Oklahoma opened the 2023 season Friday morning with a sixth-place team finish at Oklahoma State's Cowboy Preview.

Arkansas won the team event followed by host OSU. SMU, Tulsa, and OU were in front of the Bronchos.

Genevieve Young led the Bronchos in the 3k race around the Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course. The transfer posted a time of 12:55 in her first race with the Bronchos. Noel Buckhaults was next to finish with a time of 13:28, and another transfer, Melohdee Marroquin, was right behind her with a time of 13:33.

Kylee Smith (15:20), Sydney Large (15:36) and Macie Cohlmia (17:54) rounded out the times for the Bronchos on Saturday.

Central Oklahoma is off next weekend before going to Missouri Southern for the annual Southern Stampede on September 15 in Joplin.
