Jaden Wells Named To Top 50 Watchlist

Jaden Wells was named to the Small College Basketball's Bevo Francis Top 50 Watchlist announced Wednesday.

Wells was previously named to the Top 100 Watchlist earlier this season. He is now moving forward among the 50 best players in the country.

Wells continues to lead UCO in scoring at 17.7 points per game. The third-year sophomore sharpshooter is making 45.5 percent of his total shots this season, 44.4 percent of his 3-point attempts with an even 3.0 makes per game average, and 88.4 percent of his free-throw attempts. Wells also averages 4.3 rebounds, 1.6 steals, and 1.3 assists per game all in 31.1 minutes per game this season.

The Clarence "Bevo" Francis Award is presented annually to the player who has had the finest overall season within Small College Basketball.

Central Oklahoma is hosting Rogers State Wednesday night at Hamilton Field Hosue. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. UCO has two home games left this season, including Wednesday night and Saturday at 3:30 p.m. against Northeastern State.
