Central Oklahoma will wrap up the two-day, 36-hole event Tuesday morning.

The Bronchos posted a team score of 315 Monday in a tough day that saw even the hosts play at 13-over par. UCM is in first place after posting a 293. Augustana is the only other school under 300 with its 295. Missouri Western (306) is third, and Nebraska Kearney, Minnesota State and Winona State (all with a 310) are tied in front of the Bronchos.

UCO does have two individuals in the top 20. Jirasuda Khunarak and Mika Ramos both shot 7-over-par 77s on Monday and are tied for 16th place. MaKaylee Cowan (+8) and Emma Shelley (+11) were also counting scores for the Bronchos. Estela Castillo (+16) also competed for Central Oklahoma.

All five Bronchos started on No. 1 Monday morning.

Khunarak started the day with three consecutive bogeys before settling in with back-to-back pars on the fourth and fifth holes. She sank a birdie putt on No. 6 before another par on the seventh. Khunarak had another bogey on No. 8 and another par on No. 9 to finish the front nine at 3-over. The senior from Thailand had five pars on the back nine and another birdie on No. 13, but she also doubled Nos. 11 and 15 and bogeyed No. 18 to finish the day 7-over-par.

Ramos nearly played the front nine without a par. She bogeyed 1 & 2 before a birdie on No. 3. Then she bogeyed 4 & 5 before a par on No. 6. She finished the front nine with a bogey, birdie, bogey to land at 4-over. On the back nine, she had three bogeys and six pars to reach her 18-hole final, 7-over-par.

Cowan, playing in just her second career tournament, made 10 par putts on Monday. The freshman from Yukon, Oklahoma sank five par putts on each side of the turn. She had six bogeys and two doubles to finish the day with a 10-over-par 80.

Shelley, the third senior in the lineup for the Bronchos, struggled early. She shot a 9-over-par 44 on the front nine and had four par putts. She had four more par putts on the back nine, added two birdies, and played the second half of her day 2-over par.

Castillo never found a rhythm on Monday. She sank a par putt on No. 2 and birdied No. 6, but was 7-over at the turn. She played the back nine 9-over to settle in at +16 for the day.

Central Oklahoma will wrap up the Midwest Classic Tuesday. Next week, the Bronchos wrap up the fall schedule with the Tulsa Cup at The Club at Forest Ridge in Broken Arrow. Rogers State is hosting the final event of the semester.
