Central Oklahoma posted a 54-hole 878 and finished just seven shots back of Missouri-St. Louis and Henderson State, which tied for the team title at 871. Oklahoma Christian finished third with an 873.

Evan Griffith, sparked by a final round 5-under 67, finished 10th in the individual standings with a 54-hole score of 218. Bennett Baldwin, Caleb Kimmel and Carson Blaser all tied for 16th at 222 to round out UCO's scoring. Ross Taylor shot a 233 and Hogan Ordal, playing as an individual, shot 227.

"We played a lot better," UCO head men's golf coach Derrick Thompson said. "Including our individual, we had four guys shoot under par today and a fifth shoot 1-over. We had a good day and hopefully we get better with this."

Griffith's 67 was the third-lowest round on Tuesday. He played the front nine 2-under-par with birdies on 4 & 5. His only blemish came with a bogey on the par-3 11th, but he followed that with his third birdie of the day on 12 and then ripped off three straight birdies on 14, 15 and 16. Griffith was 3-under on the back nine to finish 5-under for the day.

The final round score for Griffith is the sixth round in the 60s for the fourth-year junior from Greenwood, Arkansas. He did five times last year. His career-best is 66, which he has done twice.

Baldwin, Kimmel and Blaser all ended in a tie at 222. Baldwin and Kimmel flipped scores on Monday with the two both posting 36-hole 145s. The two both shot 5-over 77 on Tuesday. Blaser, who was at 149 after 36 holes, posted a 1-over 73 Tuesday.

Taylor, despite finishing 56th individually, had a strong finish. He shot a 1-under 71 Tuesday to climb back to 233 for the tournament.

Ordal, who shot 78-79 on Monday, followed with a 70 Tuesday for a strong finish of his own.

After playing three tournaments in four weeks, Central Oklahoma will take an extended break before returning to the tee box. UCO is scheduled to compete in the Newman Fall Invitational Oct. 17-18 at Sand Creek Station in Kansas. The Bronchos wrap up the 2022 fall schedule Oct. 24-25 at the Club at Indian Springs in Broken Arrow.
