The MIAA event features all 11 league teams playing 36 holes at the 5,864-yard par 72 course.

"We're looking forward to it," UCO head women's golf coach Michael Bond said. "We haven't played this course in a long time and no one on this team has, so we're looking forward to getting out there and seeing how it plays this week, and we'll see what we can do."

Central Oklahoma is sending all six squad members to Hays, Kansas this week. Returners Mika Ramos, Madison O'Dell, Emma Shelley, and newcomers Nanya Hinsui and Jirasuda Khunarak are in the lineup. Arin Zachary will also compete individually.

Zachary will tee off at 10 a.m. and each of the five in the lineup will follow through 10:50 a.m.

UCO opened the 2022-23 season last week in Texas. The Bronchos left the 54-hole Dallas Baptist Classic averaging a 309. Central opened the tournament with a 299 before rounds of 316 and 312.

Ramos posted the lowest score for any Broncho last week with a 226. O'Dell (228) and Shelley (234) weren't far behind. Hinsui shot a 240 in her first tournament in the Bronze & Blue. Khunarak shot rounds of 79-72-78 but a scoring error in the second round disqualified the junior in her first tournament with the Bronchos. Zachary will be making her season debut Monday.

Central Oklahoma will play 18 on Monday and wrap up the tournament with Tuesday's final round.

UCO is playing in four consecutive weeks to open the season. The Bronchos are hosting a tournament next week with the annual Grace Shin Invitational at the Golf Club of Edmond scheduled for Oct. 3-4.
