Kyler Patterson Named All-American

Broncho Reliever Earns Third Team All-American Honor From D2CCA

MARSHALL, Minn. – Kyler Patterson was named All-American for the second time in as many days Thursday when the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association announced he was a Third Team selection. The Division II Conference Commissioner's Association announced the Central Oklahoma reliever was also a Third Team selection on Wednesday.

Patterson set a Central Oklahoma record in 2022, finishing the season with the lowest earned run average in school history. The right-hander from Cushing, Oklahoma allowed eight runs all year and just six earned runs for an ERA of 1.22.
 
He made 22 appearances for the Bronchos during his senior season and all came out of the bullpen. Patterson threw 44 1/3 innings and was 1-1 with nine saves.
 
Patterson registered 68 strikeouts on the season, a 13.9 Ks/9 average.
 
He helped Central Oklahoma to a 29-21 overall record this season, with the Bronchos making the MIAA postseason tournament.
 
Patterson is the 22nd All-American for UCO Baseball and he is the sixth pitcher to earn the honor.
