No. 6 UCO Visits No. 10 Cameron

LAWTON, Okla. – No. 6 Central Oklahoma will continue a short stretch of non-conference road matches Tuesday when the Bronchos visit 10th-ranked Cameron.

UCO is 14-1 this season and the Bronchos have a 6-0 record in the MIAA. Central will take on Northwest Missouri and Washburn this weekend looking to secure a second consecutive league championship. But up first is Cameron, which is 17-3 overall this season.

The Aggies of Lawton are 7-1 in the Lone Star Conference and are also looking to clinch a conference title this weekend in their regular season finale.

Central Oklahoma is a combined 33-5 in doubles competition this season and has won the doubles point in 14 of 15 matches.

Mae Canete and Christine Canete make up the No. 1 doubles team in the country, according to the latest ITA national rankings. The duo is 10-2 this Spring. Adel-Byanu Abidullina and Tizia Brocks are ranked No. 44 in the country and they are 13-1 this season. Nikki Boyar and Blythe Buntrock are 6-2 and are ranked No. 48 in the country.

Mae is also ranked No. 3 in the latest ITA Singles rankings. She is 12-2 on the season. Christine, ranked eighth, is 10-1. Abidullina, a two-time MIAA Player of the Year and three-time All-American, is also listed in the latest rankings. She is ranked 25th in the land and is 12-0 this season.
