Central Oklahoma Takes On Sooner Invite

NORMAN, Okla. – Central Oklahoma is scheduled to compete this weekend in the Sooner Invitational at the John Jacobs Complex at the University of Oklahoma.

The Bronchos are sending 14 to Norman for the Outdoor meet. UCO is scheduled to compete in Norman in each of the next two weekends as the annual John Jacobs Invite is set for next weekend at OU.

The Central throwers will open the weekend's festivities Friday morning. Eve Brennan, Dahsauni Lyday, Tatum Robertson and Kayla South are scheduled to compete in the hammer throw at 10:30 a.m. Friday. South will return Saturday morning for the javelin throw and also compete in the discus at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with Brennan and Lyday.

Lyday and Robertson will enter the shot put Friday afternoon.

Jordan Chancellor is competing in several events this weekend. She will begin at 4:30 p.m. Friday with the long jump, return Saturday for the high jump at 11:30 a.m., and will also race in the 400 meters Saturday afternoon. She'll conclude a busy weekend with the triple jump Saturday at 4 p.m.

The 100-meter prelims are scheduled to begin Friday evening after 6 p.m. Kaleigh Dyas, Jasmine Hopkins, Lydia Lawrence and Ansley Scott are all scheduled to race.

Those four will also run the 200-meter dash Saturday evening and Hopkins, Scott, Chancellor and Mya Audette will each race in the 400 before that.

Bethany Garrison and Shiloh Hutchinson are scheduled to race in the 800 meters Saturday afternoon and are following their entry in the 1,500-meter race earlier in the day. Arizona Hummingbird and Harlie Hanson will join them in the 1,500.
