Bronchos Drop In National Poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 22) – Central Oklahoma plummeted in the National Softball Coaches Association Division II rankings that were released Tuesday, dropping from No. 8 to No. 19 in the weekly poll.

The Bronchos lost twice to now-No. 16 Minnesota State-Mankato while going 4-2 last week and received 134 points in voting of 16 head coaches from around the country. Texas-Tyler remained No. 1, with Concordia Irvine, Valdosta State, Rogers State and West Texas A&M rounding out the top five.

UCO and Rogers are the lone two Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association teams in the top-25. Click here for the complete poll.

Central, 25-5 on the season and 4-0 in league play, resumes conference action Friday and Saturday with home doubleheaders against Northwest Missouri and Missouri Western.
