LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Feb. 22) – Central Oklahoma remained 16th in NCAA Division II softball rankings, according to the top-25 poll released Tuesday by the National Softball Coaches Association.
The Bronchos of head coach Cody White finished with 169 points in balloting of 16 head coaches from around the country. Texas-Tyler was the unanimous No. 1 pick, receiving all 16 first-place votes in tallying 400 points.
Valdosta State came in second in the rankings, with Concordia Irvine, North Georgia and West Texas A&M rounding out the top five. Rogers State is the only other Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association team in the poll at No. 12.
UCO is 12-2 on the season and riding a 10-game winning streak, having outscored those 10 opponents a combined 66-15.
The Bronchos don't play again until going to Wichita Falls, Texas March 1 to take on Midwestern State in a doubleheader.
