The Central Oklahoma women's golf team resumes the 2021-22 season this week when the Bronchos travel to Tunica, Miss. for the Tunica Cup.

The two-day, 54-hole tournament gets underway Monday morning with 36 holes at the 5,964-yard, par-72 Tunica National Golf Club before finishing with an 18-hole round Tuesday.

It's the first of five spring tournaments for UCO, which finished in the top-four in three of its four fall events.

"We're looking forward to get started," said head coach Michael Bond, who has led the Bronchos to 108 top-four finishes with 30 titles in 14 years at the helm. "We ended the fall with good momentum and have had some good practices getting ready for the spring. This will be a really tough tournament with a lot of good teams."

Making UCO Central's five-woman contingent will be senior Kinsley Hall, junior Madison O'Dell and sophomores Susana Olivares, Emma Shelley and Mika Ramos.

Olivares leads the team, having finished the fall campaign with a sensational 72.8 scoring average for nine rounds. An All-American in 2020, Olivares finished in the top 12 in all four fall tournaments with three top 10s and has won three tournaments in career.

Shelley had a 75.0 average in three fall tournaments and was in the top 20 in each event, highlighted by an eighth-place showing in the Central Regional Preview.

O'Dell put together a 77.1 scoring average in the fall, while Ramos was at 79.1 and Hall 79.2.
