Harlie Hanson dashed to a new school record in the 3,000 meters. The veteran distance runner crossed the finish line in 10:14.95, edging out the previous record of 10:18.58. Hanson already owned the school record in the 5,000 meters (18:09.20).

Ansley Scott also had a big day on the track for the Bronchos Saturday. The freshman finished second in the 400 meters (58.15 seconds), fifth in the 200 meters (25.39) and fifth in the 60-meter dash (7.87).

Kaleigh Dyas and Scott both ran in the 60-meter dash for the Bronchos Saturday. They both clocked 7.87 seconds during the preliminary heats. Dyas advanced to the finals and fifth with a time of 7.88 seconds.

Dahsauni Lyday, who already has an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the shot put, finished second in the event Saturday at Washburn. Lyday didn't hit that same mark, but her 13.15-meter toss on her first attempt held firm for a runner-up position.

UCO had six top-10 performances on Saturday and six more that were in the top-20.

Central has one more meet left on the schedule before the 2022 MIAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in two weeks.
