Soccer Duo Earns All-Region Honor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A pair of Central Oklahoma soccer standouts were named to the United Soccer Coaches' All-Region team.

Monika McGee and Kylee Wickersham were both named Second Team All-Region, earning the postseason honors for the first time in their respective careers.

"Those two were very big parts of our success this season," UCO head soccer coach Mike Cook said. "They both work very hard and are leaders of the team. We're very happy they were recognized."

McGee, a midfielder from Moore, Oklahoma, was also named Second Team All-MIAA this season. Wickersham, a defender from Mustang, Oklahoma, earned Third Team All-MIAA honors.

The duo led Central Oklahoma to an 11-5-4 overall record this season and a berth in the NCAA Division II national tournament. UCO finished fifth in the MIAA regular season and was the No. 7 seed in the NCAA Central Regional.

McGee scored four goals and had one assist this season. Wickersham, who scored one goal, played a team-high 1,762 minutes on the field this season.
