Bronchos End Season In Joplin

JOPLIN, Mo. – Central Oklahoma wrapped up its 2022 season Saturday morning at the NCAA Division II Women's Cross Country Championships at Missouri Southern's Tom Rutledge Course.

Winona State's Lindsay Cunningham won the individual title with a time of 19:34.80 on the 6k course. Augustana (S.D.) won the team title with 62 points. UCO finished 34th.
 
Central sent five runners to the regional championships. Korie Kizarr, as she has all year, paced the Bronchos.
 
The freshman from Marlow, Oklahoma ran the 6k race in 24:21.30 and finished 168th out of 233 runners from the MIAA, the Great American Conference, and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
 
Noel Buckhaults and Giselle Zavaleta were close together as the next two to cross the finish line. Buckhaults, a junior, posted a 24:55.80 for a 186th-place finish. Zavaleta, a sophomore, ran the 6k in 25:01.10 for a 188th-place finish.
 
Two other freshmen followed. Eden Haack finished 193rd with a time of 25:17.40 and Kylee Smith was 226th with a time of 28:36.50.
