UCO Sixth in Latest Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS – Central Oklahoma is listed sixth in the NCAA Central Region rankings, announced Wednesday.

The top eight teams in the Central Region, including three automatic selections of conference champions from the MIAA, the Northern Sun, and the Great American Conference, will advance to the 2022 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship next month.

UCO is 11-3-4 this season and the Bronchos are preparing for the 2022 MIAA Women's Soccer Championship. Central Oklahoma is the No. 5 seed in the league's postseason tournament and will travel to Hays, Kansas to take on Fort Hays State Sunday, Oct. 30 at 6:30 p.m.

Central Oklahoma was listed among 10 teams in last week's initial rankings. One more regional ranking will be released next week. The NCAA Selection Show is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 7.

UCO has qualified for 14 national tournament berths and is in the hunt for a 15th appearance.
