Bronchos Visit OU For Indoor Meet

NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Central Oklahoma track & field team is scheduled to return to the action this weekend at the J.D. Martin Invitational at Oklahoma Saturday with competition beginning at 10 a.m.

Central Oklahoma is sending 14 student-athletes down I-35 as Indoor Season gets back into the mix in the Spring semester.

Central will compete in four field events Saturday morning, beginning with the weight throw at 10 a.m. Tatum Robertson and Eve Brennan are scheduled to throw. Jordan Chancellor will follow them in the high jump at 10:30 a.m. and she will follow that with the long jump shortly thereafter. Luz Lugo-Ponce will compete in the pole vault at 11:30 a.m.

Robertson, Brennan, and Dahsauni Lyday will also throw the shot put at 2 p.m. in the final field event of the meet.

Katie McCathern and Shiloh Hutchinson will run the 1-mile race Saturday at noon to kickoff the track events for the day. Elisabeth Stanfield has the 60-meter hurdles and the 400 meters on the schedule, Ansley Scott is up for the 60m and 400m, and Kaleigh Dyas (60m), Jacie Edwards (400m) will also run.

Bethany Garrison will join McCathern and Hutchinson for the 800-meter race. Jasmine Hopkins will also join Dyas in the 200m.

UCO will close out the meet with the 4x400 relay. Cali Dorman will be joined by Chancellor, Hopkins, and Edwards.
