Central Trio Named WGCA All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The University of Central Oklahoma women's golf team had three student-athletes named Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars Tuesday.

Emma Shelley, Madison O'Dell, and Susana Olivares were each named WGCA All-American Scholars, which honors golfers around the country that maintain a cumulative 3.5 grade point average.

O'Dell, a junior from Owasso, Oklahoma, was named All-American Scholar for the third consecutive year. Shelley, a sophomore from Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Olivares, a sophomore from Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico, are both two-time winners.

The trio helped the women's golf team to one of the highest team GPAs in the department and helped the team win the 2021 MIAA Women's Golf Championship.
