Bronchos To Preview 2021 Season July 27

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The MIAA announced Monday details for its 2021 Football Media Day later this month, with teams, coaches, players, and media from around the league meeting July 27 ahead of the steadily approaching season.

Central Oklahoma head football coach Nick Bobeck, entering his 10th year leading his alma mater, said he will take junior tight end Daunte McGee and sophomore linebacker Jason Harris to Kansas City later this month to preview the 2021 Broncho squad.

UCO is scheduled to appear on stage at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 27 at the Kansas City Convention Center. The entire MIAA Football Media Day will air live on The MIAA Network.

Bobeck is 43-47 after eight seasons leading UCO. The Bronchos, as was the case around the country, did not play in 2020. Central Oklahoma posted a 5-6 mark in 2019 and finished eighth in the league.

McGee, a junior from Yukon, Oklahoma, has played in 23 games for the Bronchos and has made 17 starts. He played in all 12 games for UCO in 2018 after sitting out a redshirt season the year before. He made seven catches for 108 yards and one touchdown. He played in all 11 games during the 2019 season and hauled in 12 receptions for 104 yards.

Harris, a sophomore from Tulsa, Oklahoma, has played in six games for the Bronchos and made two starts. He sat out the 2018 season as a redshirt before getting on the field in 2019. Harris played in six games that season and made 26 tackles, including a career-high nine against Fort Hays State.

Central Oklahoma kicks off the 2021 football season with a Thursday night season opener against Missouri Western in Edmond at Wantland Stadium. The Bronchos are scheduled to play five home games this fall.
