Central Jumps Eight Spots In National Rankings

Bronchos Now Ranked 17th In Country

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Central Oklahoma softball team jumped eight spots in this week's NFCA Top 25, the association announced Wednesday.

Coming in at No. 17, Central Oklahoma is 20-6 this season and 9-1 in league play. The Bronchos went 6-0 last week, sweeping Arkansas Tech in a non-conference matchup in Edmond before sweeping both Lincoln and Central Missouri in MIAA play in Edmond. UCM was receiving votes in last week's Top 25.

The Bronchos first appeared in the national rankings two weeks ago at No. 23, but then dropped to No. 25 last week before coming in at No. 17 this week.

UCO is back in action this weekend, albeit with just two games. The Bronchos play Newman in an MIAA doubleheader Saturday beginning at 2 p.m. in Wichita, Kansas.
