Bronchos Complete ESU Relays

EMPORIA, Kan. – The University of Central Oklahoma track & field team wrapped up the ESU Relays Saturday. The Bronchos finished 10th in the team standings of 17 schools. UCO scored 28 points in the two-day meet at Welch Stadium.

The Bronchos got a second-place showing the 1600-meter sprint medley. That was the top finish for Central Saturday. UCO's group of Tyleecia Delaney, Kaleigh Dyas, Alexis McGill and Hannah Salyer finished in 4:22.46.

Sierra Munoz gave UCO a fourth-place finish in the shot put and her teammate, Dahsauni Lyday was right behind her in fifth place. Munoz hit 13.25 meters and Lyday hit 13.14.

Skylar Standokes finished sixth in the 100-meter hurdles to go with an eighth-place finish in the long jump. The Broncho veteran sprinted to a 15.14-seconds finish in the hurdles and then hit 5.37 meters in the long jump. The hurdles mark Standokes logged is 0.2 seconds off her personal best.

Delaney also finished seventh in the long jump (5.45 meters) and McGill (10.30 meters) added a seventh-place finish in the triple jump.

A pair of UCO relay teams gave the Bronchos 10 top-10 performances. The Broncho 4x100 and 4x400 teams both finished 10th in their respective races.

Central Oklahoma is scheduled to travel to Canyon, Texas next weekend for West Texas's Joe Meaker Classic.
