Bronchos Finish Ninth

FINAL RESULTS

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Feb. 23) – The Central Oklahoma men's golf team finished in a tie for ninth place in the St. Mary's Invitational that wrapped up here Tuesday.

Second-round play was postponed by darkness Monday evening and the Bronchos – needing just two holes to finish – posted a 303 round early Tuesday morning before coming back with a final-round 312 in finishing with a 912 total.

Jacob Lackey was the low finisher for UCO, coming in with a 226 total after completing a second-round 76 and then ending with another 76 in the final round. Yannic Oppenheimer shot 76-81 in the last two rounds to end with a 227 total, while Carson Tewell shot 73-77=228, Kylian Cavdar 78-77=232 and Peyton Knell 79-80=240.

The Bronchos are back in action next Monday and Tuesday, going to Cabot, Ark. for the Natural State Classic.
