Central Oklahoma defensive lineman Michael Slater was named First Team All-MIAA following a dominant season in the trenches. Defensive back Dylan Buchheit and offensive lineman Seth Carmack were both named Second Team All-MIAA and defensive end Noah West and tight end Daunte McGee were both named Third Team All-MIAA.

Keats Calhoon, Josh Moore, Markiese King, Derrick Shaw, Alex Quevedo, and Elijah Wright were all named All-MIAA Honorable Mention.

Slater, from St. Louis, Missouri, starred for the Bronchos on the defensive front this fall. He made 40 total tackles (27 solo and 13 assisted) and was the league leader in tackles for a loss. Slater made a stop in the backfield in 90 percent of the games this season. He had a season-high 2.5 tackles for a loss in the 2021 season finale last week. He also had 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one quarterback hurry, and two passes broken up in 10 games played.

Buchheit played in all 11 games as a sophomore this fall and the Moore, Oklahoma native was everywhere in every game. He led the team with 91 tackles, recording at least 10 tackles in 6 of 11 games this fall. Buchheit had a season-high 13 at Northwest Missouri in September. He also had a team-high three interceptions for the Bronchos, returning one for a touchdown at Northeastern State in October. Buchheit had a fumble forced, another fumble recovered, and three passes broke up to go with the three picks and 91 tackles.

Carmack, a fifth-year senior from Yukon, Oklahoma, played in 9 of 11 games and started each of those at left guard. After taking over the starting job at that position during his redshirt freshman season in 2018, Carmack never relinquished it. He helped the Bronchos to an average of 350 yards per game and paved the way for 37 total touchdowns. Central had 26 rushing touchdowns this fall thanks in part to Carmack's leadership up front.

West, who came to UCO from Army and is a Bixby, Oklahoma native, spent his freshman season opposite of Slater intimidating opposing offenses all season. He made 24 tackles (nine solo) and had two stops behind the line of scrimmage. West also had 1.5 sacks and forced a fumble. He had two pass breakups and was also credited with two quarterback hurries.

McGee, a fifth-year senior from Yukon, Oklahoma, played in all 11 games this season and had his best year as a tight end. He made 28 receptions for a total of 245 yards and one touchdown. McGee caught a pass in 9 of 11 games. He made a season-high five catches twice, Week 4 at Northwest Missouri and Week 11 at Central Missouri. He had a season-high 60 yards receiving against Nebraska Kearney.

Calhoon played in nine games at quarterback for the Bronchos this fall. The sixth-year senior went 151-for-249 with 1,682 yards passing and eight touchdowns.

Moore had a team-high 51 receptions this fall. The senior receiver totaled 645 yards and scored two touchdowns, including a season-high 75-yard score at Pittsburg State.

King was second on the team with 40 receptions. The junior wideout had a team-high 665 yards receiving and scored five touchdowns. King scored from 30, 57, 59, 56, and 78 yards through the air, with the latter being the longest play from scrimmage for the Bronchos all season. He also scored one rushing touchdown.

Shaw, a sophomore from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, is the third UCO starting defensive lineman honored by the league this fall. Shaw made 35 tackles, including 2.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage. He also had one sack, one fumble recovery, one QB hurry, and one pass breakup.

Quevedo, a fifth-year senior from Azle, Texas, continued his career-long climb up the Central charts. He went 8-for-12 on field goals and 23-for-24 on extra points, adding one touchdown on a fake field goal for a total of 53 points – the second-most of any Bronchos this fall. Quevedo moved up to No. 5 on UCO's all-time scoring list this season. He finished his career with 171 career points (153 PATs, 36 FGs, and one TD).

Wright, a second-year freshman from Vian, Oklahoma, was second on the team with 65 tackles this fall. He made at least three tackles in every game this season and had a season-high 11 tackles against Nebraska Kearney in Week 10. Wright had at least five tackles in seven games, including at least six in each of the last five games. He also had one pass breakup and one QB hurry.
