UCO Finishes 11th In MIAA Championships

KEARNEY, Neb. – The University of Central Oklahoma cross country team finished 11th in the 2021 MIAA Championships Saturday morning.

Central Oklahoma was led by Arizona Hummingbird, who finished 20th with a time of 23:19.82 in the first 6k race of the season for the Bronchos.

Harlie Hanson finished 56th individually, crossing the line of 24:30.46.

Layne Nichols (25:39.45), Bethany Garrison (26:10.82), and Katie McCathern (26:39.32) rounded out the scorers for the Bronchos.

Shiloh Hutchinson (27:11.03), Marin Rhodes (27:37.02) and Clara Shirley (27:49.67) also ran for the Bronchos.

Central Oklahoma will continue its postseason trek in two weeks. The Bronchos are scheduled to race in Joplin, Missouri in two weeks at the 2021 NCAA Division II Central Regional Championships.
