Central Oklahoma will be competing for just the second time this season and first since Dec. 7, when the Bronchos opened the 2019-20 season in Kansas. UCO is sending a 25-person contingent to Norman Saturday looking to open the spring semester with a good performance. There will be 19 teams represented. Field events start at 11 a.m. with running events kicking off at 11:30 a.m.

UCO standout Madelyn Caldwell looks to build off a strong start to her senior season. The Pauls Valley, Okla. native set two NCAA provision marks in her first event of the season and also set a school record in the shot put. Her 17.38-meter toss in the weight throw earned her a sixth-place finish at Pitt State and her 13.76-meter hurl in the shot put earned her a third-place showing.

Harlie Hanson, a newcomer this season, also looks to build off a strong start. Hanson set a new school record in the 5,000-meter run last month, finishing the race in 18:30. That gave her a sixth-place finish at PSU. She'll run that again Saturday, as well as the 3,000 meters.

Abena Sey and Skylar Standokes both finished in the top-five at events last month. Sey, who earned All-American honors in 2018, finished fourth in the high jump earlier this season with a 1.65-meter mark. Standokes took fifth in the long jump with a 5.57-meter leap. Sey will compete in the high jump Saturday, as well as the long- and triple-jump. Standokes will compete in the long jump and triple jump, as well as the 60-meter hurdles.

UCO won't have to wait six weeks again for its next competition. The Bronchos head to Manhattan, Kan. for the Deloss Dodd Invitational at Kansas State next Saturday.
