UCO Finishes Fourth In Nebraska

AXTELL, Neb. (Sept. 24) – Madison O'Dell and Susana Olivares had top-10 finishes as Central Oklahoma came in fourth in the UNK Invitational that ended Tuesday.

The Bronchos shot a final-round 301 to finish two trips around the 5,845-yard, par-72 Awarii Dunes Golf Club with a 606 total. Central Missouri won the 12-team tournament at 587, followed by Sioux Falls and Rogers State at 597 and UCO.

O'Dell shot a sizzling three-under-par 69, while Olivares closed with a one-over 73. Faith Stewart came in with a 77, Sydney Roberts shot 78 and Emma Shelley had an 82.

"We left a lot of shots out there today, but overall it was a pretty good tournament for us," head coach Michael Bond said. "Madison played great and Susana was solid once again."

O'Dell ended up fifth in the individual standings with a one-over 145 total and made eight birdies in the tournament. Olivares, who placed fourth in UCO's season-opening tournament two weeks ago, came in 10th at 149.

The Bronchos are home next week, hosting the UCO Classic Monday and Tuesday at the Golf Club of Edmond.
