UCO Goes To Nebraska For UNK Tourney

The Central Oklahoma women's golf team resumes its fall season Tuesday and Wednesday when the Bronchos participate in the UNK Invitational.

The two-day, 36-hole tournament will be held at the par-72 Awarii Dunes Golf Club in Axtell, Neb.

Making up the lineup for head coach Michael Bond's squad will be senior Sydney Roberts, sophomores Madison O'Dell and Faith Stewart and freshmen Susana Olivares and Emma Shelley. The Bronchos finished eighth in their season-opening tournament at the Tarleton State Invitational two weeks ago.

Olivares led that way in that event, finishing fourth in her first collegiate tournament with a two-under-par 142 total after firing rounds of 72-70. O'Dell had a 150 total (76-74), while Roberts was at 153 (76-77), Shelley 154 (81-73) and Stewart 157 (81-76).

The Bronchos will host their own tournament next week, with the UCO Classic set for Sept. 30-Oct. 1 at The Golf Club of Edmond.
