Caldwell hit an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the discus in her second-to-last meet of the season, throwing 48.69 meters (159 feet, 9 inches) at the 2019 MIAA Outdoor Championships earlier this month. Her last two throws are her top two career throws. She also threw 47.20m at Emporia State's Sam Williams Twilight Qualifier.

This season, Caldwell has averaged 43.5 meters per throw. The junior's season-best has improved three meters per season since she arrived on campus three years ago.

UCO has had an All-American in eight consecutive seasons – all of which coming from field event athletes. The Bronchos have one individual national champion in school history and that came in the discus.
