Central Oklahoma will send a 10-person contingent to the University of Central Missouri in hopes of not only capturing a title, but qualifying for the NCAA Division II national championships later this month.

Madelyn Caldwell is the only Broncho to have an NCAA provisional qualifying mark this season, having hit 14 meters in the shot put earlier this season. She'll need to improve that a bit, as well as her marks in the discus and hammer throw.

Bailey Christiansen is one of five Bronchos set to compete in at least three events. She'll race in both the 100- and 400-meter hurdles, as well as run the third leg of the 4x100-meter relay. Kaleigh Dyas will run the second leg of that race as well as the 100- and 200-meter dash.

Chavon Reece and Skylar Standokes will also join Christiansen and Dyas in the 4x100. Reece will also compete in the 100, 200, and the long jump. She has two first-place finishes and three second-place finishes in this her freshman season. Standokes, a sophomore with eight top-five finishes this season, will also compete in the 100-meter hurdles, the long jump, and the triple jump.

Savannah Reynolds and Aysia Williams will both compete in two events each. Reynolds, a freshman who hit a provisional mark in the high jump in Indoor season, will compete in the high jump this weekend as well as the 100-meter hurdles. Williams will compete in the 400 hurdles and throw shot.

Arizona Hummingbird, Erin Drewke, and Luz Lugo-Ponce wrap up the field of Bronchos this weekend. Hummingbird will run the 1500, having found a consistent mark between 4:50 and 4:55 over the past month. Drewke will throw javelin coming off her second-place finish in the John Jacobs Invite last month. And Lugo-Ponce will compete in the pole vault.

Central Oklahoma will have one more shot at earning qualifiers before the national finals later this month. UCO will visit Emporia State for the Twilight Qualifier next weekend. The 2019 DII national championships is scheduled for May 23-25 in Kingsville, Texas.
