Troutman Claims Academic Honor

EDMOND (May 17) -- Central Oklahoma golfer Cody Troutman has been named to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District 7 Men's At-Large Team, it was announced Friday.

The senior business major from Edmond has a perfect 4.0 grade point average in business and now advances to the Google Cloud Academic All-America ballot, with first-, second- and third-team honorees released in June.

Eleven student-athletes from six different sports – golf, tennis, swimming, wrestling, volleyball and ice hockey – were selected for the All-District 7 Men's At-Large Team in voting of sports information directors from schools in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and the Great American Conference.

Troutman was a first-team Academic All-American in 2016-17 and then missed the following season to injury before returning to the starting lineup in 2018-19.
