UCO Remains No. 7 In ITA Poll

TEMPE, Ariz. – The University of Central Oklahoma tennis team remained No. 7 in this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Association's national rankings announced Wednesday.

Central Oklahoma is 11-2 this season and on a 10-match win streak. The Bronchos are 5-0 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association standings.

UCO is spurred in the rankings by a trio of freshmen that are nationally ranked in singles, as well as one doubles team.

Isabella Dunlap is ranked as the sixth-best singles player in the country. Adel-Byanu Abidullina is ranked 26th in the country. And Nikki Boyar is ranked 60th.

Dunlap and sophomore teammate Paola Landin are ranked as the 12th-best doubles team in the country.

Dunlap is 6-5 this spring, including a 3-2 record in the MIAA. Abidullina is 9-3 with an unblemished 4-0 mark in league duals and a 3-1 mark against nationally ranked competition. Boyar is 9-4, 4-1 in the MIAA, and 1-0 against a nationally ranked opponent.

Dunlap and Landin are 9-3 in doubles matches this spring, and have a 3-1 record in the MIAA.

Central Oklahoma is gearing up for a weekend away from home against a pair MIAA schools. The Bronchos will take on Emporia State on Friday before facing sixth-ranked Washburn on Saturday in Topeka, Kan.
