UCO Heads To Missouri For Tournament

The Central Oklahoma men's golf continues its spring season Monday and Tuesday in St. Charles, Mo. when the Bronchos compete in the Lindenwood Invitational.

It's the third tournament of the spring -- and seventh of the year -- for Coach Josh Fosdick's crew, who have had top-10 finishes in all but one event.

First-round play in the two-day, 54-hole tourney starts at 8 a.m. Monday at the 7,047-yard, par-71 Missouri Bluffs Golf Club. Teams will play 36 holes Monday and 18 Tuesday.

Filling out UCO's five-man team will be seniors Alexander Hughes and Cody Troutman, junior Blake Murray and sophomores Jacob Lackey and Joe Lemieux.

Murray tops the team with a tidy 72.20 scoring average and he has four top-20 finishes in seven tournaments. Lemieux had a team-best 13th-place finish in last week's Broncho Invitational and has a 73.55 average for the year as the only other player to have competed in every event.

Troutman (73.92), Hughes (74.33) and Lackey (74.70) have all played in four tournaments.
