UCO Ready For Second California Tourney

The Central Oklahoma women's golf team will play in its second straight tournament on the West Coast Monday and Tuesday when the Bronchos go to Seaside, Calif. for the Otter Invitational.

UCO finished fourth in the Augustana Spring Fling Thursday and Friday in Palm Desert, its sixth top-five finish in seven tournaments this year.

The 36-hole Otter Invitational tees off at 10 a.m. (Oklahoma time) Monday at the 5,765-yard, par-72 Black Horse Golf Club. Nine teams will compete in the two-day event.

Senior Makena Mucciaccio, junior Sydney Roberts, sophomore Yuna Sato and freshmen Madison O'Dell and Faith Stewart make up Central's five-person team.

Roberts tops the Bronchos with a 76.86 scoring average and five top-20 finishes. O'Dell carries a 77.07 average and has four top-20 showings, including a tie for 13th in the Augustana Spring Fling.

Stewart had UCO's top placing in the last tournament, tying for fifth for her third top-20 finish of the year and she has a 77.79 scoring average. Mucciaccio has a 78.29 scoring standard for the year with three top-20 finishes and Sato has an 80.64 average.
