Bronchos Move Up In National Poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Central Oklahoma softball team moved up four spots in this week's National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25 announced Wednesday. UCO is at No. 15 in the country now after the first month of play in the 2019 season.

Central Oklahoma is 14-1 on the season. The Bronchos have won 10 consecutive games since suffering their only setback of the season – to currently ranked No. 2 team in the country Texas A&M Commerce.

UCO beat previous No. 1 Angelo State 10-2 in a five-inning run-rule on Tuesday, and has also beat fellow Lone Star ranked school West Texas A&M earlier this season. Central also has a win over Arkansas Tech, who is now receiving votes but was ranked when the Bronchos won earlier this month.

Central Oklahoma is awaiting a road contest at Oklahoma Christian on Friday. The Bronchos will play in Oklahoma City at 1 & 3 p.m. before beginning Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association play the following weekend.
