TOURNAMENT STANDINGS

AUSTIN, Texas (Feb. 18) – Makena Mucciaccio shot an opening-round 75 to lead Central Oklahoma on the first day of the St. Edward's Invitational Monday.

The Bronchos finished with a 311 total on a cold and windy day at the par-72 Onion Creek Country Club in their first tournament of the spring season. Arkansas Tech leads the 15-team tournament at 301, followed by Rogers State (303), the host Hilltoppers (304), Southwestern Oklahoma (308) and UCO.

Final-round play begins at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Central had three players in the 70s, with Faith Stewart adding a 76 and Yuna Sato a 78 to Mucciaccio's 75. Madison O'Dell carded an 80 and Sydney Roberts an 82 to round out the scoring.

"We gave away a few shots, but it wasn't too bad considering the conditions and the limited amount of practice we've had," head coach Michael Bond said. "Hopefully we can come out tomorrow and make up some ground."
