Bronchos Finish Fall Season In Missouri

The Central Oklahoma men's golf team wraps up its fall schedule Monday and Tuesday when the Bronchos compete in the Holiday Inn Express Classic hosted by Missouri Western Invitational in St. Joseph, Mo.

The two-day, 54-hole tournament tees off at 8 a.m. Monday at the 6,652-yard, par-71 St. Joseph Country Club, with two rounds set for the first day before a final 18-hole round on Tuesday.

UCO has finished second, fifth and ninth in its three previous tournaments this fall and will send a lineup of seniors Joe Lemieux, Blake Murray and Peyton Knell, junior Jacob Lackey and freshman Evan Pennington.

"It's been a good fall for us," head coach Josh Fosdick said. "We need to finish it off on the right foot to set up a great off-season. It's an amazing golf course and should be a great tournament."

Murray leads the Bronchos with a 71.0 scoring average and two top-15 finishes, while Lackey also has been in the top-15 twice and is right behind at 71.1. Lemieux finished ninth in UCO's last tournament and carries a 73.0 average, Pennington is at 73.5 and Knell 75.0.
